Edric Sadat is composer and musician from northern Mexico, who has been immersed in the rich pre- hispanic tradition of music that is played as a form of ceremonial healing, rather than entertainment. For the last fifteen years he has been experimenting with various traditional instruments from ethnic groups around the world and combining them with currents of minimal and ambient electronic music, creating trance-inducing waves of sound, with the ultimate goal of providing a profound experience of relaxation and consciousness awakening. Edric is a self-trained musician and composer who relies heavily on instinct and heart, and considers his work as a musician much as creating an experience for his audience, sharing the gift of the healing power of music that has so generously blessed his own life.
