In celebration of this year's longest day and shortest night, this summer solstice will feature the sound's of Edric Sadat in his presentation of the musical project Tzab-ek. In maya the word Tzab-ek means rattlesnake tail, referring to the seven sisters constellation, known as the Pleiades. To celebrate this sacred day of sun as our ancestors once did Tzab-ek will be presenting a preview of his new album release, Nanibojou. Nanibojou is a journey through the world of sound that fuses pre-Hispanic instruments and electronic soundscapes, creating a meditative trance to remind us of our place between the stars and earth.
